Back in 1929, Carl F. Rehnborg had a dream of creating a food ‘complement’. The idea of creating a new product that would balance the diet came to him by the everyday observation of people and occurrences of disease. He noticed that variations in local diets led to distinct variations in health.

Rehnborg theorised that whole plant extracts contained beneficial substances beyond vitamins and minerals. With this in mind, it led to the development of a new product and a new company and in 1934 Carl produced and began to sell his first Multivitamin / Multimineral product – the foundation for the NUTRILITE DOUBLE X Food Supplement.
